The results of the big Facebook initial public offering are in: Facebook equals Fadebook!

Early investors in the much touted Facebook IPO watched in horror as stock prices of the world’s number one social networking site continued to sink to the point where one analyst wrote: “Status: Watching Facebook stock flop.”

It might have not been the smartest timing for Facebook to face their angry subscribers who are being forced in droves to switch to Timeline, essentially converting the old popular format to the failed formula used by MySpace. Within 1 business day Facebook stock plunged 11% for a single day loss of $19 billion!

So what’s the future for this venerable site and for social networking sites in general? Will people be switching their alliance to Google+ and away from Facebook in a similar mass exodus to Facebook from MySpace? Time will tell.
